Paver and Patio Installation

In this website are many pictures and instructions that I would recomend for a person beginning a project at home or a contractor with minimal experience.

This website is here to help you learn how to install a patio made from paving bricks, flagstone and numerous materials. Hopefully it will be helpful to you. I have developed this website using many photos of my own and and also many from Unilock. A paver manufacturer in the midwest.

Step 1

The first step in installing a patio could possibly be the hardest, choosing the style, color, and pattern of your bricks, or maybe you do not want bricks at all. If you are interested in flagstone instead of bricks click here. If you would like some ideas for what is out there here are some photos click here

Step 2

.With orange, blue, or some visible color marking paint mark off the area of the patio that will be installed. Make sure that you mark all utilities so as not to hit them when you start the dig.

Step 3

Now for the fun part. start to excavate your site by digging down according to the duty of the pavers. When excavating your site be sure to see how thick your base needs to be. To see a chart that might be helpful that was provided by unilock

Step 4

Choosing the correct base for your site could be the most important step. Now there are a few options to consider when choosing your base. Most of the time because of cost and possibly size limestone is used. Choose either a #304 or #411 limestone for the base
